2008 Exhibition

This year the Museum has become "Family Friendly". All the exhibitions have been designed with the family (of all ages) in mind! Come along a have a go at our hands-on activities, which include dressing up, putting on a play, animal and number trails, puzzles and more! Ideal for a wet afternoon!

The Museum is following the theme from previous years and highlighting a couple of industries that have been in the area for many years. One is Moulds the builders, who are now based in Froxfield. The building company was started in Chapel Street, Petersfield in 1888 by William Mould. The other industry we are focusing on in 2008 is Rowland,Son and Vincent. This business was started up by Charles Rowland at the turn of the 20th Century.

Other exhibitions include the first display of the Bedales Historic costume collection at the museum focusing on "20th Century costume". There are a couple of anniversaries in 2008, so the Museum will be celebrating them. One is the Police Station which has been in St. Peter's Road for 150 years. The other is The Petersfield School which has been in its present location for 50 years.

Our guest village this year is Liss. The display will consist of Roman finds from the dig.
